WE ARE HERE TO HELP

We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Muncie First Church a great one.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

How Long Is the Service?

On a typical Sunday morning, our service begins at 10:05 a.m. and runs until 11:30 am. for an average time of one hour and fifteen minutes. During the service, you will experience a time of worship through music and singing. The music is led by our band and worship leaders, Allison and Ian Fancher. The band usually plays 3-5 songs as the congregation stands together and sings with the band.

What is the culture like?

We want you to know that we are so glad you've considered gathering with us on a Sunday morning. This is a great honor for us. We understand what it takes to find a church and how challenging it can be to feel welcome and at home in a new place. We want you to know that we don't care how you're dressed, how many tattoos you have, or what candidate you voted for. We're a church full of broken, imperfect people with every kind of story, and we're saving a seat for you! When you show up at Muncie First Church, we want you to feel loved and at home.

We like to make our worship environment laid back and casual. It is important that you and your family feel comfortable and welcome when you enter our doors. We want people to connect with each other, with the music and the teaching. It is our goal every week to spread hope and connect with Jesus. We welcome any and all people.

Will they expect me to give?

If you are a guest, please know you are not obligated to give. However, if you would like to give, you can do so through our giving app. We do allow people to give in person through our offering boxes in the main sanctuary and the front lobby.

What about my kids?

Children attend our Kids Ministry, where they have their own worship experience with our Children's Director, Jess Atkins, and her team. We have a great environment for kids with incredible volunteers. If you are new, you may want to show up 15 minutes early to connect with Ms. Jess and familiarize yourself with the building layout and where kids go. You can also pre-register your children to make check-in easier and quicker on Sunday morning by clicking the link below.

OUR STORY

Simply put, Muncie First Church is a group of people gathering together because of Jesus. We have found hope and life in Jesus. We want as many people as possible to experience that same freedom and to become more like Jesus. We strive to be a church that is LOVING, FAMILY FOCUSED, and FOR OUR CITY.
We want to spread hope. Our goal in everything we do as a faith community is to take the hope of Jesus Christ to our city and make a difference in Muncie, In.

Life is always better when we are in a group, and true growth happens not in rows on Sunday morning but in circles throughout the week. We want to help you get into a group. This is the second step in our faith journey.
SERVE |
Our journey of faith always grows faster, and our passion increases when we serve. Even Jesus said that He came to serve not to be served. This third step is very significant to growth in faith.
GIVE |
We are people that have been given much, and we want to bless others by giving back our time, talent, money, and resources. This is the fourth step in our strategy, and it can be a life-changing part of one’s relationship with Jesus.
GO |
The final step in anyone’s faith journey is to GO. Jesus has called us all to GO into the world and make disciples. We want to be a faith community marked by relentlessly following the mission to GO and reach the world. The final step in your journey is significant because this is where you share your faith experiences with others.
We move towards Jesus in every aspect we can. We want to press on toward what lies ahead.

We believe becoming more like Jesus means we need to be a growing community that reaches people, and as a result, we desire to help people grow. Our desire is to see people become more like Jesus in every possible way. In everything we do, we want to head towards growth.
